EARLY CHILDHOOD EXPERTISE
Pedagogy inspired by Finland
Shaped by local culture
We bring together Finland’s approach to early childhood education, IB’s inquiry-based learning principles and local culture. We adapt this framework to the needs of individuals, groups and institutions. Participants’ experience, strengths and cultural contexts are the starting point for our consultancy.
Where needed, we collaborate with academics, universities and other specialists in Finland in line with the goals of the education and consultancy process.

OUR SHARED APPROACH
Understand
Develop
Review
Certify
Understand. We explore experience, strengths and needs. Develop. We set goals and plan learning and practice support together. Review. We assess progress through reflection, observations and feedback, then adapt the next steps. Certify. Depending on the programme, we issue certificates of participation, completion or assessed professional development. The scope and criteria are specified in the programme plan.
For students, the focus is academic learning and preparation for the profession. For teachers, specialists and education leaders, it is professional development and deeper expertise. For institutions, it is pedagogical quality, shared capacity and continuity in practice. Individual or group work is planned according to needs.
DOCUMENTING DEVELOPMENT
Review progress
Make development visible
ARCTICA certifies observed and evaluated development. Individual certification focuses on personal learning and application; group certification on shared learning and joint work; institutional certification on pedagogical practice and sustained development.
The scope, evaluation criteria, evidence and issuing organisation are specified in the programme plan. Attendance documentation and certification of evaluated development are described separately.
